Daniel and the Lion
Death Head
Daniel and the Lion seems to be a duet formed by immeasurable romantics. Daniel and Jimmie (the lion then) did an amazing and intense EP. With a very poetic songwriting, an enchanted voice and awesome instrumentals, they take us on a misty cloud where we would like to stay forever.

Forest Creature
Forest Creature
Forest Creature is the artistic encounter of two American indie legends: Seth Faergolzia (who once was Dufus' leader) and John Lundington. With a fresh air of folk, a slice of electronic and a few drops of hippie opera, the duet manages to gather ten pieces of wild and sweet modern pop in a surprisingly creative album.

Les Heureux Accidents
(Le collectif) Yeepee is Emmanuel Pidoux's(guitar, vocals) echo chamber. It is an everevolving project, oscillating between one-manband, duet or live string quartet. The band stands at a crossroad between populartradition (folk and blues), improvised experimentations and contemporary writing.

Faurholt's second album Hurrah Hurrah was released November 2007 on Quartermain Records. It was recorded with Kristian Westergård (ex-Defectors) and has guest vocals by the Swedish duo Taxi Taxi! Jacob Faurholt
Are You In The Mood For Love?
Jacob Faurholt has a CD of slightly gothic folk that may well appeal to lovers of the work of (definitely) Adrian Crowley & (possibly) early Bright Eyes. It's entitled Are you in the mood for love? and the Nick Cave influence starts to infiltrate your mind by the second track, the dusty & sinister 'A Fish in a Bowl', all spaghetti western woo-hoos, twangy guitar splinters, snaky percussion & a lyric that really reminds me of Julian Cope's more foreboding moments. As a long-playing collection, there's more than enough satisfactory moments on this Dane's 3rd album to ensure a pleasing ride. His voice has a rich, harmoious character & the playing is tender & accomplished with enough traditional flourishes to appease the old guard whilst including possibly the most jarring Jandek like solo on 'Rusty Country Cage'. Well loved in his native country, this digipak CD will serve you singer- songwriter obsessives well. (Norman Records UK)

Christian Cuff
Chalkboard
Chalkboard is a perfect example of what happens when a producer and an artist "get" eachother. Singer/songwriter Christian Cuff and producer Brian Coombes, along with co-producer/musician Joey Pierog, have crafted an intimate yet powerful record that brings anintensity that is often missing in the singer/songwriter genre.
This album is very much a progression, not so much a diversion, from the feel of ChristianCuff's debut album, Silo. The songs show a much more elaborate representation of thesongwriter's style, as they were written over a period of two years, during which Cuff went fromtouring internationally full time, to trying his hand at domesticity, to forcing himself to finallylearn to read and write music properly; the album paints these transitions beautifully.

Elephant Micah
The Songs of Bible Birds
"Joe O’Connell would probably hate to be called anything that reeks of teleology — say, “groundbreaking” or “forward-thinking” — so I’ll have to settle for “revelatory.” Revelation hopefully hints at something that’s already there, has already been there, refracted anew: a snug fit for O’Connell’s particular traditionalism. Having released a steady stream of scarcely-promoted material for the better part of 10 years as Elephant Micah, the southern Indianan is responsible for some of the past decade’s most bread-breakingly stirring music. And with over a dozen full-length releases in various formats, O’Connell sits exactly on the cusp of being too prolific for his own good. (His current label, Time-Lag, has released albums by Charalambides and MV & EE, but, you know, who hasn’t?) But his pair of new releases, Echoer’s Intent and Elephant Micah Plays the Songs of Bible Birds, still provide excellent entry points. Part of the reason for this is the artistic development the two demonstrate: Bible Birds was recorded and vaulted several years ago, soon after O’Connell’s incredibly fertile “And The” sessions, and it is communal and life-affirming; Echoer’s Intent is the secluded, ambivalent work of one man and his guitar. He’s always run the gamut from lo-fi and noise pop to bluegrass and folk, but the juxtaposition through time here is particularly riveting." TBC at Tiny Mixtapes

Deja Mu
The Prime of a Still Life
“The Prime of a Still Life” se passe dans une cuisine.
